It is widely known that all schools are ordered to close, sports / cultural activities are suspended, postponed, scaled down and a state of emergency is declared in Hokkaido to stop coronavirus spread in Japan.

With this in mind, in order to protect those who would like to apply to this Consular Section from unnecessary exposure to crowds by avoiding rush hour traffic, applications are to be accepted between the hours 10.00-16.00 with effect from today (3 March) until 21 March 2020 unless further notice is given. There will be uninterrupted service and no break time during the aforementioned working hours.

Those who would like to apply for visa are kindly advised to take this information into account when submitting their application to the Consular Section.
